Pastor Alexander Dabney was born in Washington, DC and is the youngest of 6 children. He was educated in the DC Public School system where he graduated from Coolidge High School. He later Graduated with honors from St. Augustine’s College in Raleigh, NC with a degree in Communications.  Pastor Dabney accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Jerusalem Baptist Church. While serving at JBC he was licensed to preach the gospel in February of 1995 and ordained in October 1997. In an effort to gain knowledge and training he earned a host of certificates and a post graduate degree from Washington Baptist Seminary, Maple Springs Bible College, Liberty University, Lancaster Bible College and Virginia Union University. He also worked in the editorial department of Bible Review magazine. While in college he met and later married Doris “Tami” Dabney in 1988. They have two daughters Kai Hernandez and Kelli Dabney, they also have 4 grandsons Noah, Carter, Joaquin and Juan. Pastor Dabney has served at New Vision Church over 20+ years in many compacities before being elevated to pastor. His goal has and will always be to equip the saints by teaching sound doctrine and challenging God’s people to reach their full potential.
