About Us

Our Beliefs

THE SCRIPTURES (2 TIMOTHY 3:16, 17; 2 PETER 1:19-21)

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit in the original manuscripts and is the highest source authority for our lives.

THE TRINITY (GEN 1:1,26; MATT 28:19; JOHN 1:1,3; 4:24)

We believe in the trinity God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  Each person of the Godhead is equal in deity yet carries out distinct roles.

GOD THE FATHER (LUKE 10:21,22; EPH 1:11; 1 PET 1:3; REV 1:6)

We believe in God the Father, an infinite Spirit, inexpressibly glorious in holiness, and worthy of all possible honor, confidence, and love.  We believe that He is sovereign over all things, involves Himself in the lives of mankind, and saves us from eternal death through Jesus Christ.

GOD THE SON, JESUS CHRIST

We believe in God the Son who has eternally existed. He submitted Himself to human flesh, was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, named Jesus, and was sinless in his humanity. We believe that He died in our place providing atonement, was bodily raised, ascended into heaven, and now makes intercession for His people. We believe that He will visibly return and gather all Christians unto Himself (Matt 1:18-25; John 1:1; 2 Cor 5:21; Luke 24:6-7; 1 Tim 3:16; Heb 7:25; 9:28).

GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe the Holy Spirit is equal with God the Father and God the Son, and of the same nature; that He was active in creation; that in His relation to the unbelieving world He restrains the evil one until God’s purpose is fulfilled; that He convicts of sin, righteousness, and judgment; that He bears witness to the truth of the gospel in preaching and testimony; that He is the agent in the new birth; that He seals, indwells, guides, teaches, witnesses, sanctifies and helps the believer (John 14:16-17; Matt. 28:19; Heb. 9:14; John 14:26; Luke 1:35; Gen. 1:1-3; John 16:8-11; Acts 5:30-32; Rom. 8:16; 26-27; Titus 2:5).

THE DEVIL, OR SATAN

We believe that Satan is the enemy of God and that he desires to deceive all men.  We believe that in the end God will defeat Satan and cast Him into the eternal lake of fire (Matthew 4:13; John 8:44; II Cor. 4:4; Rev. 20:10).

SALVATION

We believe that man was created by God; that he sinned against God and thereby incurred physical, spiritual, and eternal death.  We believe that those who repent from sin and trust in Jesus Christ are justified by God, delivered from condemnation, and saved unto eternal life (Gen 1:26; Gen 2:17; Rom 3:23; Rom 6:23; Luke 24:47; John 3:16; Rom 8:1; Acts 16:31).

THE CHURCH

We believe in the universal church, the spiritual body of Jesus Christ, made up of all people who have trusted in Christ. We believe in the local church as the gathering of baptized believers who worship God and covenant to walk in fellowship with one another. Our highest aim is to glorify God and our mission is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ both locally and globally (Eph 2:19-22; Acts 2:41-42; Heb 10:23-25; Matt 20:28).

TWO ORDINANCES—BAPTISM AND LORD'S SUPPER

We believe that Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water to show forth our faith in the crucified, buried, and risen Savior.  We believe that the Lord’s Supper is the commemoration of His death until He comes, and should be preceded always by self-examination (Acts 8:26-39; John 3:23; Rom. 6:3-5; Matt. 3:16; Col. 2:12; 1 Cor. 2:12; 1 Cor. 11:23-28).

LAST THINGS

We believe in the personal and visible return of Jesus Christ to earth, the full establishment of his kingdom, the final judgment of all men, and eternal life for all those who have believed in Jesus Christ (Acts 1:11; 1 Thess 4:16; 1 Cor 15:42-58; Rev 20:11-14; Rev. 21-22).

Our Mission

Making Contemporary Disciples to
Confront the Problems of a Contemporary World.

Welcome

New Vision is a Bible teaching ministry.  We are committed to
“Serving Our Lord with Excellence.”

The way we achieve our mission is by reaching out to God for our life, placing Christ at the center of our life, and by applying God’s principles to our life in order to have an impact on those around us and in the world.

Acts 1:8 – NLT
8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

When visiting New Vision Church, you’ll find that church is not the same old grind.  Join us for our Worship Service at 10:30 am and experience a fresh perspective of God’s Word and Way of Life. You’ll be glad you did!

Our Church Covenant

As members of New Vision, we commit ourselves to fulfilling its MISSION STATEMENT:

Making contemporary disciples to confront the problems of a contemporary world.

As members of New Vision, we commit ourselves to fulfilling its PURPOSE:

We, the New Vision Church, purpose to obey the great commission in building a ministry that begins and ends with making disciples of Jesus Christ, to the glory of God. These disciples will be equipped to serve a contemporary world with the gospel of Jesus Christ in a relevant format. We believe the church is God’s vehicle for displaying, in vivid fashion, His glory and might in the world. Therefore, it is our task to lock into God’s frequency. This will allow Him to program us by the Word of God’s dictation and the Holy Spirit’s empowerment in order to accomplish his purpose in the world.

As members of New Vision, we commit ourselves to fulfilling its MOTTO:

Serving Our Lord with Excellence.

As members of New Vision, we commit ourselves to fulfilling its PEOPLE VISION:

We, the New Vision Church, will seek to facilitate an environment in which every believer is equipped to accomplish God’s will for their lives. We believe God’s will is first, that each becomes a fully functional disciple of Christ, who is able to reproduce themselves in others. And second, that each becomes a fully functional witness for Christ, in the world, through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. We believe the Spirit of God will use this word-filled environment to supernaturally transform our lives so we can glorify God.
